Wood looks good and treats your knife well, but it needs oiling and can't go in the dishwasher. Plastic is easy but sheds microplastics into your food. Our boards are neither: paper fibers fused with resin under heat and pressure, the same material professional kitchens have relied on since the 1960s. Non-porous, knife-friendly, dishwasher-safe, and tested to shed no detectable microplastics.*
